SUNS are kicked out of the 1st round, again!

My favorite has just been kicked out of the first round of the 2008 playoffs again by the San Antonio spurs. Last year, the Suns were knocked out in the Semifinal of the playoffs by the Spurs. I could not believe my eyes. They were so close to winning game 5, but they made tons of mistakes. They turned the ball over 3 times in the last 3 minutes of the game. They could have taken the lead and won the game or could have tied the ball game!

I really thought that the Phoenix Suns was the team that could beat the Spurs. I am really disappointed at them.

I thought they played really well all throughout the series. The games that will haunt them will game 1 and game 5. Both of the games were winnable. One thing I noticed is that they can’t maintain their lead for too long.

I hear rumors of Mike D’Antoni being fired! That would be ridiculous for the Suns to do. He has turned the history of this team around since the 03-04 NBA season. He became the coach of the year during the 04-05 season and also had the best winning record as a team.

I just hope they make the changes they need to make over the summer. Picking up good free agents which will add to the depth of their bench is something that I am hoping to see. Last but not least Shaq WILL be older, but will play bring this team a championship before he retires. If he doesn’t then……….. We’ll see!
