Trip to the Ellis Island!!

i made a trip to the ellis island for a class trip! it was set up by Dr Lacari, our professor from discover New York course. the funny thing was she decided not to go with us since she had already been there several times. we reach there at 12:45p.m. there was probably about 200 people on the line for the ferry. the weather was decent but the wind blew hard and i felt it when i went to the upper deck of the ferry to get a clear view of the statue of liberty. i reached the main land 2 and only had an hour to answer the questions assigned by our professor. the bus driver told us to that we will leave us by 3:00p.m.

the interior of the museum of the island was filled with items of the immigrants that had to go through this this island before they could enter new york city. some of the pictures are attached.

i. along with my group of classmates, were late by 15 minutes and the bus was not there. i was shocked. i had never traveled through the subway system from Manhattan to queens. i was nervous for the fact that i didn’t know which train goes back and worse enough didn’t have any metro card.i was able to dig out 6 bucks out of my pocket and bought a metro card. i asked the lady that sat inside the booth to help me out with the directions.i got them. but because i was nervous, i forgot the directions. i looked at the map inside the train when i realized i was at wrong train. i got off and asked for another man’s help from the booth. i memorized the directions and reached my destination at around 5p.m. i was so relieved. i learned not to panic under unexpected situations.

it all had to happen in the day i went off to have a good time! i was not meant to have a good time.
